Congratulations to ITeck’s Chris Duncan who recently achieved CISSP certification!
is ITeck’s Pricipal Network Security Consultant and leads efforts to design, implement and manage information security programs to protect client organizations from today’s increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks. Chris
The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification deepens Chris’s knowledge of new threats on the horizon and reinforces his expertise in establishing holistic security programs that can protect organizations’ data and information assets.
“The CISSP training program’s focus on disaster recovery will allow us at ITeck to take our business continuity program to the next level,” Chris said. “For example, I learned to employ a formula for risk assessment that allows us to more accurately estimate the risk of loss and therefore determine how to properly scale investment in loss prevention. Such as, if your server is valued at $10,000, you obviously don’t want to spend more than that protecting it. This formula gives us the tools to help clients accurately estimate cost effective protection for this key IT resource.”
With this additional accreditation under his belt, Chris is uniquely positioned to help clients meet the requirements of government protocols and compliance for information and network security.
Chris is also a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), which gives him the tools and expertise to test the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of an organization’s systems in order to improve system defenses and security protocols.
The CISSP certification reaffirms Chris’ role as an information security leader, committed to efforts to make our information, data and networks safer.
CISSP is a vendor-neutral certification program backed by (ISC)2 , a nonprofit membership organization with 115,000 memebrs worldwide. (ISC)2 is dedicated to inspiring a safe and secure cyber world.
